Coupons.com:This site offers many coupons that you can print off and use at most retailers and it is completely FREE!

Your local newspaper: The inserts in your local newspaper are loaded with great coupons each week! Most likely, your savings will completely make up for the cost of the newspaper very quickly. If you do not currently subscribe to your paper, I suggest giving it a try. You can sign up for your paper for less at any discounted newspaper subscription site like DiscountedNewspapers.com. Don't forget to start your purchase at a Cash back site like shown here or described in this post.

All You magazine: If you love magazines, consider a subscription to All You. Each issue is full of coupons for brand name products. Currently, Amazon has a great deal on a subscription to All You found here. It is on sale for $19.97 and through the month of March you will get a $5 Amazon gift certificate with each subscription purchase.

Opinion Outpost is one of the survey sites I use that I previously mentioned in my Surveys' post. It is absolutely FREE to join. This is one of the survey sites where I make the most money. All of their surveys pay money if you qualify. I get several survey emails from them each week and qualify for half of them. If you do not qualify, you still have a chance to play an instant win game or be entered into a drawing.

Texting for Freebies(and other deals)

The ever-growing popularity of texting has advertisers finally getting on board. Companies are now using texting to give special offers to consumers.


Shoptext is a marketing company that frequently has free sample offers for major brands. Registering with Shoptext is not required to receive your samples but will save you extra steps when texting. If you sign up, note that you do not have to enter your credit card information unless you do want to use Shoptext to make actual purchases(which is another service they offer.  

To receive your free sample with Shoptext, simply text a keyword to 467467. You will receive a text back to confirm and occasionally an additional question. Then, wait for your free sample to arrive in the mail.

Kid's Product Testing

I love testing new products and giving my feedback! I will try and highlight a few sites that offer product testing each week. To get you started, here are a few sites you can sign up with that offer product testing for children's products.

Johnson & Johnson Friends and Neighbors program: They will send you short surveys to see if you qualify for product testing and if you are selected, usually you will be sent the product to try plus compensation for you time. I am currently testing a product for them. You can sign up here.

Kids II: Join their Generation Mom team to give your opinions on their products and maybe be chosen for some product testing. If you are not familiar with this company, they make mostly baby gear under the Bright Starts, Baby Einstein, and Boppy names. I have received and reviewed some baby gear with this group and it was a lot of fun! Join here.

Also, I recommend that you open a separate email account for your surveys and other online offers/groups you sign up for.

Steak n' Shake's happy hour

Here is a deal that is making my kids and husband happy! Steak n' Shake now has a happy hour. Monday through Friday from 2-4pm you can get their delicious milkshakes and drinks for half price. Find a location near you to take advantage of this deal.

Pssst...

Many companies have consumer panels to get your input. These panels can be a great resource for coupons, samples, and product testing. Pssst is General Mill's consumer panel. You can join for free and they send you coupons and sometimes new products to try. You can sign up here.

Getting money for your old electronics

After the last Black Friday sales, our family got a new digital camera and new cell phones. I did not know what to do with our old ones and then I found there are many websites where you can donate or get money for your old electronics. These sites will send you the packaging to send your old items in and they will send you a check or pay you through Paypal. There is absolutely no cost to you!
The sites we used:

Flipswap This site is just for cell phones and Ipods and also is behind Amazon's trade in program for Amazon gift cards.

EcoNew:This site also runs Office Depot's trade-in program and Sam's Club's Trade-in program for gift cards to these retailers
Radio Shack's trade-in program:This is for Radio Shack gift cards

Also, most of these websites will accept your items for recycling even if they have no value. If you still do not want to mail in your items, please try and find a local recycling center that will accept electronics by going to Earth 911.

Everyone should sign up for YouData! This is the easiest and quickest way to earn money online. They show you ads that are geared to you from the profile you set up and pay you for viewing each ad. Clicking on the ads always takes less than a minute and the money is automatically deposited into your account. They also pay you every Friday through your paypal account.

Surveys

I love earning a little extra money while being at home. One of the best ways I do this is through taking Surveys. While I not only earn money for taking surveys, I also do a lot of product testing. Recently, I was sent 12 weeks worth of a new dishwasher detergent gel paks to try.

Getting the most cash back

I love cash back sites as discussed in my earlier post. To get the most cash back available for each online purchase, I use a cash back comparison website. My favorite is Evreward. I go here first and search for the website/retailer that I am shopping at. It will compare the cash back offers from most of the cash back websites so you can see where you can earn the most cash back.

Another comparison site is RewardsDB. This one compares a few other sites that Evreward does not.
